We are constantly thinking of new ideas to stimulate early learning, and we like to encourage the development of each child according to their own, individual, ability levels.
Jools has been a registered childminder for 14 years. She is also a qualified Nursery Nurse. She worked in a local school for a year to gain her Btec. She is the mother of 7 children most are adults, the youngest being 17 (now attending Bishop Burton College). She has 7 grandchildren, and has always looked after children in one way or another as she is the eldest of 6.
Toni and Julie are also registered childminders. Toni has been registered for 7 years. Julie is the latest to join our team and has been registered for 3 years.
Qualifications include:
Together they have their I.C.P. and D.C.P. and have just finished their E.C.P.
All have first Aid level 2 certificate, Food Hygiene certificate, lots of attendance certificates to brush up on Crafts and Festivals etc.
Birth to Three Matters Certificate, Special Needs certificate, Equal Opportunities Certificate.
We have our Quality Assurance certificate (the above are each), and Jools is an Accredited Childminder, and so has funding for 3-4 year olds.
Jools has now passed her early years foundation degree. Also level 2 food hygiene, STEP ONE to Steps to Quality, and also her Certificate and her Diploma in delivering Learning. She has also done training on SEnco (Autism and Aspergers) and is now doing a BA Honours in Education and Learning at Hull University.
Jools has done safeguarding level 1 and 2 and substance misuse level 2 and Toni Safeguarding level 1.
Toni has done her level 2 food hygiene.
On our last Ofsted inspection both Jools and Toni got a good over all with one area outstanding.
